FAQ
What if I don’t have a CAD model yet?
No problem. If you’re starting from a sketch, we can help translate your idea into a manufacturable design. CAD development is included in all tiers, and we’ll guide you through every step during the intake call.
What file types do you accept?
We accept STEP (.step/.stp), STL (.stl), and native CAD formats like Fusion 360 or SolidWorks files. PDFs or photos with dimensions are also helpful for initial review.
What’s the turnaround time?
FirstCut: Ships within 14 business days
Prototype Sprint: Ships within 14 business days
Production Ready: Ships by client-specified date (as fast as 5 business days)
We’ll confirm the timeline during your intake call and send progress updates throughout the build.
Can I upgrade to a higher package later?
Yes. If your needs change mid-process, we’ll adjust the scope and pricing accordingly. Just reach out before final machining or printing begins.
Do you offer NDAs or confidentiality?
Yes. We’re happy to sign a mutual NDA before reviewing your files. You can also upload your NDA directly in the intake form or request one from us.
Can I request changes or revisions after delivery?
Each package includes a set amount of revision time:
FirstCut: No revisions (hourly rate applies)
Prototype Sprint: 1 round of revisions (up to 3 hours)
Additional time or scope changes can be added at $95/hour.
Production Ready: 2 full revisions (up to 6 hours total)
Additional time or scope changes can be added at $95/hour.
What materials can you use?
We regularly work with:
CNC: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Steel, Bronze Delrin, ABS, HDPE
3D Print: PLA, PLA-CF, PLA Aero, PETG, ASA, ABS, CF-Nylon, TPU
If you need a specific material or finish (like anodizing or bead blasting), let us know and we’ll include it in your quote.
Do I own the CAD files and parts?
Yes. Once the project is complete and payment is received, you’ll receive full ownership of your CAD files and prototype parts. We retain tooling and process data for internal use only.
Do you offer production services too?
Our focus is rapid prototyping, but we also take on low-volume CNC jobs (1–1000 pcs) depending on your needs. Let us know your goals and we’ll point you in the right direction—even if it’s not with us.
What if I’m not sure which package is right for me?
That’s what the intake call is for. Fill out the form, and we’ll help you decide which tier fits your timeline, budget, and goals best.
